May Member of the Month - Teascha!

It was a no brainer for the May member of the month!  Teasha has been incredibly consistent and has grown leaps and bounds since starting at CrossFit the Challenge.  Her confidence and friendliness light up our box and we love having her and her husband, Rich in the family!

CFTCHow were you referred to CFTC / what motivated you to join?

Teascha - I was on Facebook and saw a online ad advertising Crossfit The Challenge bootcamp. I just had to get through the first three months of bootcamp then I could sign up for a membership.  I became more interested since it was for beginner athletes (which I never really considered myself to be one). I just wanted to become stronger and be able to lift my own body weight.

CFTCWhat accomplishment are you most proud of and why?

Teascha - My real accomplishment came after about 6-7 months of training.  I completed a WOD that required me to perform a chest to bar movement and I was able to do my first "chest to bar pull up" during the competition  my coach Andy came over and encourage me to keep going and I was able to do a lot more then just one.

CFTCWhat do you spend the majority of your time doing outside of the gym?

Teasha - When I am not doing CrossFit, I am a stay at home mother of one, REM mentor and a signed talent through the Peak agency that involves acting and volunteering by walking the runway to help raise funds for local charity events.

CFTCWho has played a key role in helping you develop a new skill or has pushed you or challenged you during a WOD?

Teascha - Overall, I have three amazing coaches that never give up on me which inspires me to work that much harder.

CFTCWhat movement are you most looking forward to improving?

Teascha - I would like to improve on my power clean and jerk movement since I have a little trouble remember how to do them properly.
