April Member of the Month - Chelsy!
If you took part in the Open at all at CFTC, you no doubt noticed Chelsy KILLING it! She has come so far between this Open and last and her effort has not gone unnoticed! Here is a bit about our April Member of the Month:
CFTC - How were you referred to CFTC / what motivated you to join?
Chelsy - Crystal and Maggie were my coworkers and asked me to come. I reluctantly came to watch a class and Andy told me that I had to join in. (So thankful for that) It was so so out of my comfort zone and I would have never done it by myself. I was sore for a week after my first class and I knew this was the real deal so I signed up soon after.
CFTC - What accomplishment are you most proud of and why?
Chelsy - I’ve had literally zero muscle my whole life up until now so every time I’m able to PR anything it’s the best feeling. Now I can see muscle definition in my arms and legs and it makes me so so happy.
CFTC - What do you spend the majority of your time doing outside of the gym?
Chelsy - I work at a nursing home, go to class, and go to Crossfit. #collegegrind
CFTC - Who has played a key role in helping you develop a new skill or has pushed you or challenged you during a WOD?
Chelsy - Coco and Andy! They know my strengths better than I do. They push me to do things i would never do on my own, and I’ve grown so much because of them. Also, every single person at CFTC. I feel so grateful to belong to such a welcoming, encouraging community that genuinely cares about you.
CFTC - What movement are you most looking forward to improving?
Chelsy - Pull ups!! Push ups!! Everything to do with my arms!
